Lisa Bonitz – Owner/Hair Designer
Lisa Bonitz graduated from Lake Erie Academy of Cosmetology in 1983. She is the owner of L’eau de Vie Salon/Spa. Lisa’s services include cut, style, and color.
Alice Briere – Office Assistant
Alice Briere is Lisa's mother. She worked many years as a coordinator and now works in the office. Alice is a mother of four, and has eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She enjoys music, crafts, gardening and having fun.
Amanda Varner – Hair Designer
Amanda is Lisa’s daughter. She grew up at L’eau de Vie and is a graduate of the AVEDA Institute at Charlotte. She especially loves working with long hair, curly hair, and highlighting. Amanda is currently taking AVEDA advanced education classes for hair and make-up so that she can continue to excel in her career. She is so happy to be living in her hometown and working at L’eau de Vie.
Angela O’Kelley – Salon Manager & Wedding Coordinator
An Asheville native, Angela has been working in Aveda salons for 9 years, most recently managing a Salon Today Top 200 Aveda salon in Venice, Florida. She is a graduate of the Qnity Q Program for salon management and has a great passion for the beauty industry. She loves Aveda for its sustainability and fair trade ethics used to source products and support communities across the world.
Whitney Hansen – Hair Designer
Whitney graduated beauty school while attending high school in Petoskey, Michigan in 2010. Since then, she has gained most of her experience while living and working under master stylists in Northern Michigan and Southern Florida. Today, Whitney is proud to call Asheville her home. She enjoys precision haircuts, makeup, and making the world blonde! Outside of the salon, Whitney enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and French Bulldog; hiking, camping, and jumping into waterfalls.
Natalie Wallenberg – Hair Designer
Natalie grew up in Illinois and graduated from Tricoci University of Beauty Culture in 2010. She loves the creativity in formal styles and has great attention to detail with nails & facial waxing. Her services also include hair designing, coloring and make-up. In her free time, Natalie enjoys baking, yoga, and getting lost in a good book.
Devon Woodruff – Hair Designer
Devon has lived in Asheville for 20 years, after growing up in a military family. She attended cosmetology school at 16 and started with Aveda at 17. After 15 years, her passion for hair ranges from precision haircutting to Bridal. In her spare time, her two children, ages 13 and 7 keep her very busy and she enjoys yoga daily.
Mike DeSerio – Hair Designer
Mike DeSerio graduated from the AVEDA Institute of St. Petersburg, Florida in 2009. His services include haircuts, hair color, and highlights. Mike enjoys spending quality time with his beautiful wife and daughters, volunteering with the homeless, painting, drawing, brewing beer and laughing at himself out loud.
Margo Santoro – Hair Designer
Margo has been cutting hair for 2 decades. She was originally trained in Aveda, which gave her the knowledge and confidence to become a platform artist, a Paul Mitchell educator and to manage a few salons along the way. Margo is excited to be back with Aveda after all these years. "Aveda allows a certain kind of caring for your clients that you don't find with any other line. Because of its botanical element and continual education, you have the tools and knowledge to not only give your clients a great sensory experience but a great hair experience you cannot get anywhere else." Margo has created looks for her clients for years with care and knowing how to be honest without being demanding. "Trends are fun and beautiful, however, not everyone looks great with a asymmetrical cut and purple highlights. Most of the time it is great to bring a fresh look to what you already have." Margo also loves to create upstyles and makeup applications for those special occasions. At the end of the day, Margo loves to hang out with her BFF (husband Scott) and their 2 furbabies, Hank and Harriet. "I always strive to be the person my dogs think I am"
Lindsey Marie Tyler – Hair Designer
Lindsey Marie was born and raised in Connecticut were she graduated from the Paul Mitchell School in 2005. She enjoys everything from creative styles to natural cuts, color, nails and formal styling. Lindsey loves following the latest fashion trends and bringing them to life. She also enjoys spending time with her husband and two little girls.
Anjuli Ellis – Hair Designer
Anjuli is a Texas native who graduated from Ogle School of Hair Design in 2002. Her services include cutting, formal styling, make-up, and she loves playing with beautiful color blends! She specializes in precision cutting and styling. Her interests include art, meditation and music. She loves being active and spending time outdoors. When she’s not out chasing waterfalls you may find her having cinematic adventures with her boyfriend and 3 fur kids!
Kelly Davis – Esthetician
Kelly graduated from the Haywood Community College AVEDA Esthetics Program in 1997. Her services include skincare, waxing and formal makeup. She is known around Asheville as the waxing queen and has won Best Esthetician in the Best of WNC multiple times! Kelly also has a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications and a Masters of Fine Arts in Dance. She enjoys rock climbing and West African dance.
Crystal Lego – Esthetician
Crystal loves AVEDA skin care. After graduating from the AVEDA Institute of Charlotte in 2006, Crystal came to L’eau de Vie to share her passion for making people feel good about how they look. She is best known for her gentle touch, whether it’s AVEDA signature facials and body treatments or wax free hair removal with Nufree Soy based hair removal product. She enjoys cooking, spending time with family and her precious dog Benji.
Emily Pearl – Massage Therapist
Emily graduated from the Center for Massage and Natural Health and has been licensed since 2006. She is extremely excited to join the team at L'eau de Vie and cares deeply about helping others and the AVEDA mission. She appreciates that AVEDA takes a more holistic approach, combining different massage modalities with the healing properties of the AVEDA essential oils, leaving you completely relaxed and rejuvenated. She really enjoys holding space for her clients and researching the sources and solutions of chronic pain in order to provide a deeply therapeutic experience. Emily deems it the utmost honor when someone feels so safe and comfortable on her table and they drift off into a deep, peaceful sleep. In addition to massage, she loves to unwind by hiking with her husband and dog, Lilu. She also enjoys traveling, new experiences and dancing with emphasis on freestyle and breakdance. NC#6487
